Bhajan is a Devotional genre of music in India, which is found to be sung in different ways.
People who sing different genres of songs in India are often found to sing Bhajans. Bhajan is
not confined to a particular way to interpret but is found to be interpreted in multiple ways by
different artists. This article will discuss on the Bhajan interpretation by Vidushi Kishori
Amonkar’s Bhajan Gayaki (singing style) in a very simple way to figure out whether there is
any similar idea existing in her Bhajan interpretations. The Bhajans are collected while
collecting data for my ‘Doctoral Thesis’ paper. All the interpretations are taken from studio
recordings. No public performance has been chosen for analysis in this paper.
